McCarty's work is acrylic on canvas. His canvases are filled with an abundance of color, sometimes brilliant and sometimes muted, but always interwoven with subtle visual suggestions. And as a result of the great response to "The Heart Is The Hunter", (Heart with XOX),featured in the NOV./DEC. '99 issue of Coastal Living Magazine, McCarty is currently working on a new body of work in the "Heart" series which should be finished in the near future. Sizes will range from 24" X 24" to as large as 48" X 55".

The artwork of Roy Fairchild ~ Woodard transcends fashion and cultural barriers. Combining fantasy, visual poetry and symbolism into each painting, Fairchild ~ Woodard's most recent influences are of Chagall, "The painter-poet of the 20th century." An unproclaimed poet himself, the artist weaves his verse into his paintings, but carefully covers it with bits of sheet music, lace or paint, as if intentionally hiding the words behind his imagery.

"A picture of the Floating World" is translated from the Japanese "Ukiyo-e." Life is fragile as if it is floating in the air. The subjects are scenes from everyday life. Hatsu Miki as an artist tries to give the viewer as little information as possible so their own personal portrait can be created. Great expressiveness transmits lasting messages and draws the viewer into an intense dialogue with the image.
